Milk’s Professional TV installation services ensure that your TV is securely mounted, optimally positioned, and seamlessly integrated. Here are some benifits.
What Type Of Mount Should I Use
Fixed/Low-Profile Mount: If you want the TV to sit flat and close to the wall with minimal movement, a fixed mount is best. These are generally the most affordable and easiest to install.
Tilting Mount: If you plan to mount the TV higher on the wall, like above a fireplace, a tilting mount allows you to angle it down to reduce glare and improve viewing angles.
Full-Motion/Articulating Mount: For maximum flexibility, a full-motion mount (also called an articulating mount) allows you to pull the TV away from the wall, swivel it left or right, and tilt it up or down. This type is ideal for larger rooms where viewing angles vary or if you need access to the back of the TV often.
Can I put my TV power cord in the wall
Running a regular TV power cord inside your wall is generally not safe, and is against electrical codes in many areas. Power cords for TVs and other devices are typically designed for external use only and are not rated for in-wall installation.
Standard TV power cords lack the necessary insulation for in-wall use, which increases the risk of overheating and potential fire hazards. If the wire is damaged, it could create a short circuit inside the wall, posing a significant fire risk
Many building codes prohibit running standard power cords inside walls. For in-wall wiring, only certain types of cables, rated for in-wall use (like Romex or in-wall-rated power kits), meet safety codes.
What is wire concealment
Wire concealment is a technique used to hide or organize visible cables and wires to create a cleaner, clutter-free appearance. This is especially common for wall-mounted TVs, sound systems, gaming consoles, and computer setups. Here are some popular methods of wire concealment:
